Australian Miss Universe finalist caused furore by sending out the wrong message about the image of healthy body types. Are the pageant organisers sending out a positive message to teenage girls or women in general?
With eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia on the increase, such events need to show leadership and act responsibly in sending out messages to the public on acceptable body images.

With the continued pressure on woman to achieve unrealistic and unhealthy body types, should there be some regulation?

In a way it’s misleading people when a 14 year old girl is portrayed as an adult with photoshop work to make remove any skin blemishes or imperfections.
