Alcopops passes through the lower house & likely to pass Senate allowing government to keep $424M in tax collected & re introduce higher tax
Fingers crossed it passes through the Senate. With binge drinking out of control, any initiative to curb consumption is definitely a move in the right direction.

I hope this passes too. Being a cyclist it kills me going for a ride and having so many vodka cruiser bottles smashed along cycle paths.
And they wonder why cyclist dont/sometimes cant use a cycle path provided

I must admit, the quantity of broken glass on the road is at an all time high. It seems to be mainly broken glass from beer & pre mixed drinks.
These days I’m lucky to go a month without a flat, the tiny shards of glass are the worst.
