laura’s training regime

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

“I am a little sleepy and cannot jog this morning stop eating!”

Laura has started her training for her first fun run and has discovered how the body can yearn for more food once the energy expenditure levels increase.

Having plenty of fresh food, apples, bananas, kiwi fruit, infact any fruit that is in season will help supress the hunger.
Also drinking plenty of water apart from naturally flushing your intestinal tract will give you a full feeling in the stomach. The body cannot differentiate between food and liquids.

The record remains unbroken

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

With the threat of imminent rain & dark gloomy skies on the horizon, our record of 3 months without rain between 6.30pm-7.30pm at Edinburgh Gardens remains in tact, although it did sprinkle a few drops while we were stretching in the Rotunda:(

it amazes me how this particular longitude and latitude escapes Melbourne’s rainfall.

1.4 degrees, the coldest so far

Well done to everyone who braved the icy conditions to train last Monday.
With frosty hands and feet it wasn’t long before the bodies reached operating temperature and people were training in their t-shirts
