Don’t be obsessive about weight loss
Friday, July 20th, 2007Like all things in life, we sometimes get a little bit carried away to the point where the activity we are performing takes control of our lives.
Losing weight can fall into this category were every morsel of food is studied, inspected and compared before being consumed. We look at every gram of fat, modify our eating habits when at restaurants and do all sorts of crazy things.
If your going to treat yourself to a coffee, enjoy it, asking for a skinny milk isn’t going to add centremeters to the waistline.
Its all about moderation and having those little treats helps to keep you from falling off the wagon.
Similarly people reach a heathly weight and still consider themselves fat. So continues the destructive behavour of starvation and poor diet.
So try to have some perspective and ask the question whether my behavour is normal.
