After having an extremely mild Autumn with mornings of 13 – 15 degrees we suddenly experienced winter mornings overnight with temperatures plummeting to 3 degrees last week.
Before the rapid change in temperature, 10 degrees was considered extremely cold.

Normally the weather patterns would gradually change however the sudden change was a complete shock to the system for many.

Three degrees now became the new 10 degrees, however what was interesting was that this morning we had 10 degrees.
The general consensus in the group was the 10 degrees seemed quite warm.

Our bodies have re set the thermostat.

A great workout can be achieved by removing graffiti, remember to maintain good posture and alternate between the left & right had when scrubbing.

With low level graffiti, you can perform squats, remember to stick the butt out & keep your second toe in line with your knees when squatting.

So looking at fat burning, what works the best?

I was ask by a new client is it better to run on a treadmill for 60 minutes at a medium intensity or shorter bursts of high intensity.

Well a combination of both is great but for burning fat keeping a higher intensity definitely works.

Keeping a lower intensity burns a highrer percentage of fat however the total energy expenditure is low when compared to shorter bursts of higher intensity, you are burning a smaller percentage of a larger amount of energy.

So when looking at fat burning activities and what works, keep to high intensity exercise.
