Changing your belief systems to lose weigh
Once you have decided to lose weight, your mind will be resisting the change and throwing up obstacles to sabotage the success of your new mind set.

When we decide to change, for example to lose weight we undergo numerous steps before we reach the final decision to change on a conscious level.
On a deeper level, our mind is still undergoing neurological change, trying to re wire the pathways, the road maps of our mind that has lead us on the same destructive path year after year.

During this transition period your mind will create barriers to change, you become sick, workloads increase at the office, unexpected events happens such as relationships begining or ending, things happen that prevent you making a change, financial events occur, these events may be viewed as road blocks that your mind is creating to stop change occuring.

Do you say
I will lose weight when I’m ready
No understands or cares
It’s not the right time
It’s the way I am

Your beliefs
It’s to hard
I don’t have the time
It can’t be done
I don’t believe I can lose weight
I’m not strong enough

Your justifications
I don’t know who can help me
It’s just a waste of time anyway
Venus isn’t in alignment with Jupiter
Its too cold and wet
When the time is right or when XXXX happens I’II do it
Too busy with work/family/socialising

How we view ourselves
Not worthy
Not good enough
Too heavy
Too overweight
Not mentally strong enough
Not a valuable member of society
Dislike ourselves

Acceptance of body size
Even though I’m heavy, I’m healthy
People are prejudice
People should accept me for how I am
Fashion caters to overweight people

Fear of change
I will fail
What will people think
I have to many injuries
I can only eat certain types of foods
I cannot afford fitness training or fancy meals
I need to spend or my energy on my family

You have to believe in change, you feel it, visualise it, then mentally you can re program the road map of your mind.

A good friend of mine for years has struggled to either create or keep wealth, similiar to wanting to lose weight, their beliefs predisposed them to activities that ensured that I would never accumulate wealth, poor job selections, excess expenditure on non essential things.

Recently they decided to empower themselves and make the change by not only repeating in their mind that they can create wealth but are worthy of having wealth.
Their whole perspective changed, a shift was beginning to happen.

The catalysist of change happened during this poignant moment when my friend was dreaming of being held prisoner by a gang who demanded that my friend hand over all of their money so that the gang could gamble it at the casino.
Failure to comply would result in an unfavourable outcome.

This represented a transitionally period, that change was being resisted on a subconscious level, yet it was extremely positive as the person was progressing through the stages to move them to financial independance.

Similarly in losing weight, you will undergo similar changes subconsciously but how you handle this resistance and move forward will underline your success or failure.

Ultimately you have to move to the final level of:
I love myself (not in an ego arrogant sort of way)
I am moving closer to my ideal weight
Everyday I am feeling stronger and more positive

So the real question is are you ready to change your belief system to lose weight?

A cluttered desk can lead to a cluttered mind & disorder, tidy desk equals tidy mind

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

A cluttered desk can be a reflection of a cluttered mind, leading to disorder & an organised system of chaos.
Keep a tidy desk, have a tidy mind.
Simplify your life.
Over the years I have watched as my desk as has gradually gone from a state of disarray & chaos to being neat and tidy, more systematic. I feel less stressed as I am not constantly viewing a pile of work to be completed.

Well you may say that having a messy desk works, you know exactly where everything is in the random piles of papers and files, everything while looking disorganised is actually organised.
Mmmm, well have a closer look and think about how you manage our time, your appointments, are you constantly running out of time to get through your work, to get stuff accomplished?

Chances are you personal space may also take on a similar appearance, is stuff left all over the house in piles, waiting to be put away or organised?

Have a look at those people who have a tidy desk, are far calmer, more methodical in there work practices, being more productive, efficient and less stressed.

Your desk doesn’t have to be empty and clinical, just organised.
Start of organising those documents into four categories and get them organised.

1.Requires urgent attention, high Importance
2.Requires urgent attention, low Importance
3.Not urgent, high importance
4.Not urgent, low importance

Using a filing system such as an A4 desk top drawer system will keep things organise and out of sight.

Do the same to your email inbox.
The idea is to reduce your constant though patterns of I’m so stressed, so much to do, so little time.

This will lead to more positive outcomes in your work and less stress.

So start today and have a less cluttered desk which will lead to a less cluttered mind & disorder, remember the old saying, tidy desk equals tidy mind

Unusual Sports #1 Extreme Kayaking doing huge drops off waterfalls with a world record broken by Tyler Bradt for a 56m drop Palouse Falls

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Unusual Sports #1Extreme Kayaking, as American Tyler Bradt performs a massive a 56m drop off Palouse Falls in Eastern Washington.
Usually such feats are reserve for scenes in movies but this is for real, no trick photography or dummies being substituted for a real person, just this amazing yet extremely dangerous, maybe fatal feat.

Imagine the though processes involved in facing a near death experience, thinking positively that everything will be ok.

Well Tylers only injury was a sprained wrist, quite unbelievable given the height of the drop and the forces of the cascading water belting overhead once his kayak nose dives on impact.

So will this be the start of a potential unusual sport called extreme kayaking, will Tyler Bradt break more records with higher waterfall drops?

Lance Armstrong phenomenal belief system against the odds

Monday, July 27th, 2009

What a remarking person Lance Armstrong is to come back to the highlest level of competitive cycling, to achieve such a result requires a phenomenal belief system to win against odds.
It is unheard in cycling for a comeback in cycling after an absence of 3.5 years yet Lance’s mind is so strong that he overcame the mental hurdles and beliefs to prosper on the Champs Elysees.
It all starts by focusing on what you truly believe, everything else will follow.
Susan Boyle was an fine example of pursuing your dreams, pursuing what was deemed impossible and proving your skeptics wrong.
This will be the start of many great moments as the next stage in Lance’s career unfolds in the coming years with Lance Armstrong’s phenomenal belief system that will encounter more situations that he will prosper against the odds.

A great film by Jim Carrey called ‘The Yes Man’ which is creating the openness to new situation and not saying no to anything

Monday, July 13th, 2009

You never know what will eventuate from having an open mind.

A great film by Jim Carrey called ‘The Yes Man’
Which is creating the openness to new situation and not saying no to anything.

In the movie Jim changes his attitude by saying Yes to everything irrespective of the appropriateness of the request by someone, for example ‘ can I have $10?’ and you will give them $10.
The idea initially was to allow yourself to become open to new experience and that the sequence of events ultimately leads to a major event and that major event sets off another set of sequences. So it is all about changing your belief system, ultimately you have to make appropriate changes or appropriate decisions about what you say yes to. Obviously it can be maybe irresponsible to always say yes to something but after 2 weeks Jim was able to identify in the movie which roles were appropriate & which weren’t.

By allowing himself to be open to new possibilities created new opportunities in his life and a lot more positive outcomes occurred. Ultimately its about changing our thought process and how we see the world and being open to these new opportunities by following a set type of behaviour we have set outcomes so doing something crazy every now and again and saying yes to something you usually would say no to can open up those new possibilities. Whether it may be someone asking you to help them move house or something where you may ordinarily not do it for whatever reason in which case there is nothing bad in helping someone move house for example, provide your obviously not putting yourself in a dangerous situation lifting heaving objects, who knows where that could lead to, what opportunities are uncovered. Everyday we’re open to these great opportunities, how often have you said no to something which isn’t equivalent of person asking for $10 out of the blue but it might be someone asking for some help.

Maybe someone in the office, maybe someone in the street, how often have you turned a blind eye to something yet there is all these infinite possibilities that lay ahead. So once again its all about that positiveness, putting it out into the universe.

So never have a closed mind and be open to new opportunities
