Jessica Watson an inspirational person

Monday, May 17th, 2010

What an inspirational person Jessica Watson is for her epic journey to circumnavigate the world.
It shows you what a strong belief in yourself can accomplish, a feat many people said wasn’t possible for someone so young or without the necessary ocean experience.

Well with lots of determination and a never give up attitude she successfully completed this amazing journey in 10 months covering a staggering 38,000kms. Against everything that mother nature can conjure up from 10meter seas, 60knot winds, strong currents, treacherous conditions and an early incident with a bulk carrier ship, Jessica’s strength shone through.

What can be achieve with positive thinking

Think about the fatigue involved in being alert for 24 hours a days, every day for 210 days, the physical and mental exhaustion.

The biggest part was the psychological side as the isolation and loneliness at being out of sea without any personal contact for such a long period of time. The other big thing that stops most of us is fear of failure or doubting that we can succeed.

Self belief and positive thinking

In her own words “I’m just an ordinary girl who believes in her dreams, believe in it and work hard”. She is absolutely awesome with such an amazing attitude and belief “proof what can be achieved if you set your mind, anything is possible” She went further by saying that it’s overcoming small challenges and moving in small steps.

It was only 12 months ago that Susan Boyle proved that if you truly believe anything is possible.

One thing that was great was that Jessica craved fresh fruit apart from the usual chocolate requests.

Everyone of us has our own unique journey or dream, for some it’s to be healthier, lose weight and live a better life. If you have the belief system, anything is possible.

What a story of self belief, Susan Boyle performs at Britains got talent TV show to overcome the audiences prejudice.

Well every now & then we experience something special that makes us question our own prejudices and truly believe that you can accomplish anything.
It’s all bout your belief systems and being positive.

While Susan doesn’t fit the usual mould for talent show contestants, her drive and self determination ultimately made her dreams come true.
With only a small record recording in the nineties, Susan’s spirit lifted her to another place, confronting her fears and overcoming the task of climbing her own Mt Everest.

So while Susan Boyle had the self belief to achieve amazing success, are you ready for change?

Persistence overides Resistence

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

There was a great story about a para Olympian on Australian story last night that is a testiment to the human spirit and the ability to keep focused in the face of adversity.

After a freak bicycle accident made him a paraplegic in 1986, nothing was going to stand in the way of achieving his dreams, the successful completion of the Hawian ironman, crossing the English channel.

We all having reasons for not completing our goals however do we really have a genuine reason or are we justifying our lack of commitment and dedication?

Everyday people say it’s too hard to exercise, to change my lifestyle, to find the time to exercise, to adopt a healthier lifestyle…..

Perserverance overrides resistance

Perserverance overrides resistance, Never give up. I had a new person join Fitstyler who had just given up smoking with little exercise participation recently.

To her credit a decision was made to improove her fitness level and restore her energy levels.
The first session prooved to be extremely challenging and confronting at times.
Sometimes in the craziness of life, work, friends and relationships we neglect our bodies. We have all been guilty at some point or another. I have total admiration and respect when people overcome their own Mount Everest and persevere.

After 60 minutes, the session finished and she lay triumpant in the knowledge that she pushed through and didn’t give up.

From now on, every session will get easier and as the fitness level rises, so does the level of motivation.
