The Flight Centre Cycle Epic Festival 2007

Where: Lockyer Valley, South East Queensland
Features several new events including a 100km road race, criterium, 220km two day stage race, full and half mountain bike marathon. Australia’s original marathon will continue to be point to point race. The festival offers more than $70,000 in cash and prizes.
Flight Centre Cycle Nuun Enduro Series features three stepping stones to the Flight Centre Classic Marathon and Peppers Mega Epic on the custom single tracks of Peppers Hidden Vale Retreat.

The 2007 Flight Centre Cycle Epic Festival will offer:
The Netti Ipswich Classic is a 100km road race for the serious racer and social rider. Starting and finishing in Limestone Park, Ipswich, the route passes through the typical South East Queensland countryside of Rosewood, Warrill View, Harrisville and Peak Crossing.
The ride will feature elite, B & C Grades and Masters A, B, C, D along with challenge categories similar to the existing Cycle Epic MTB Marathon as well as offer a generous cash purse of $8,500. – Sunday 19th August.
The Flight Centre Criterium will bring serious road racing into the heart of Ipswich City – Saturday 18th August. Cash Purse: $8,500
The Peppers Mega 200km MTB Epic begins with the welcome function at Peppers Hidden Vale (PHV) on Friday 24th August. The race commences bright and early on Saturday 25th August with the ride to Toowoomba and resumes on Sunday 26th August as part of the mtb marathon. The Peppers Mega Epic is an exclusive event that provides participants with a ‘kitchen sink and all’ experience. The Peppers Mega Epic offers five star and swag options. The full package includes smart camp and motel accommodation, catering and hospitality including massage services. Participants only need turn up with bike and personal kit. Cash Purse: $3,750
The Epic is Australia's premier enduro event and enjoys a unique tradition as the first ever mountain bike marathon as well as being one of the toughest and most rewarding races – Sunday 26th August. Cash Purse: $6,500
Is the ‘stepping stone’ for the Epic. It is a serious challenge in its own right and it gives the participant a taste of the bigger game – Sunday 26th August. Cash Purse: $1,000
The Colour Chiefs Mini & Minor Epics is the highlight for many children whose parents are avid cyclists. The future of cycling is in the hands of the many kids who delight in the opportunity to ride sections of the PHV single track alongside some of the nations elite cross country endurance riders – Saturday 25th August.
All riders will be eligile for the $40,000 random prize draw including a Karapoti Classic trip, Scott Reflex 15 mtb, Scott Reflex 25 mtb, Scott Speedster S20 road bike, Camelbak hydration systems, Cratoni and Netti Helmets, Shimano wheelsets and components.
