A back street pub with a quiet beer garden, that is comfortable, affordable, and serves good food. Under the shade of the pergola, with fish and chips and a nice cold pot of Carlton Draught, it is one of those places you hanker for on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The clientele are locals who have been coming here for years, or small groups, just looking to have a nice evening with friends. Boozers note, this isn't a pub to get rolling drunk at, standards held here are higher than in most other establishments, nor is this a pick up joint, the only meat available is on the menu and is served with chips. If you are still here at closing, the request to leave can be a little ungracious, no matter how well behaved you have been.
A great turn out, plenty of salad, fries and palma's:)
