10 Fitness Goals worth making
It's that time of year full of resolutions, why not take a few small steps first with Fitstyler's Top 10

Setting that new years resolution is usually accompanied by "resolution amnesia" latter in the year where time constraints, unrealistic goals, lack of motivation etc dilute any real progress or goal achievement.

Why not set a goal which involves taking a small step over a pot hole in the road rather than jumping over a glacial trench.

1.Exercise more regularly
We have heard it all before, just 30 minutes a day, 3-5 times a week. Why not make some small adjustments:
•   park the car 10 minutes walk from your usually parking spot
•   use the stairs instead of the lift at work
•   feeling stressed at work, spend your morning/afternoon break with a brisk walk around the block, great to clear the mind

2.Try a totally different type of exercise or sporting activity. Like they say, a change is as good as a holiday but in this case the change will work different muscles in your body

3.Set a date to achieve your goals, "by 28th February I will reduce my alcohol intake by 3 nights per week".
Alternatively set a deadline, we all work harder and procrastinate less when we know by a certain date we must perform a certain task, " reduce my alcohol consumption by 2 nights per week by 28th Jan". Alternatively set a countdown to achieve your goals. Mark off every day in your diary, Sunday 4th, 30 days to go, Monday 5th, 29 days to go...

4.Eat a more balanced diet. Keep fresh fruit & vegetables at home and at work.

5.Watch 2 hours less of TV or surfing the net per week to give your self  more time to exercise or visit your local Green Grocer.

6.Reduce the risk of temptation. Buying that yummy tub of ice cream or packet of chocolate biscuits will make resistance harder for even the strongest of spirits.

7.Surround yourself with people who have adopted a healthier lifestyle. Its easy to jump back into old habits when friends are pursuing a different path in life. Having the support of friends will help keep you on track.

8.Consult a nutritionist to establish good eating habits and for analysis of your current diet.

9.Modify your eating patterns, try breaking up the 3 large daily meals  to 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day.

10.Make these changes a permanent part of your life, you never know you may like the changes.
