Their space in Fitzroy bears a remarkable similarity to their converted boatshed in WA: a cavernous open warehouse serving up good value pub food along with their ales. The only thing missing is their stainless brewing tanks and ready access to the sea.
Little Creatures Dining Hall is certainly a beer barn, but a good-natured, reasonably stylish member of the species. It does the usual industrial-chic shtick that you expect in a place this size - concrete floors, exposed metal pipes, massed metal light shades, foil-lined roof, industrial-strength heaters - but it also cosies it up a bit with some cute, slightly kitschy touches such as strings of coloured lights and posters describing the brewing process glued to the brick walls.
There are large wooden tables, including an impressively lengthy communal table, and a series of oversized upholstered booths that would comfortably accommodate a good proportion of your closest friends. The acoustics are fine for the size of the space and generally, Little Creatures manages to turn a potentially unfriendly surfeit of room into something that feels jolly, warm and convivial.
There is food of the pie/pizza/fish and chip/nachos variety that comes from the open kitchen at the back of the room and while it won't knock your socks off, it keeps things simple and beer-friendly enough and matches the low-key, west-coast breeziness of the whole package.

Cheers
Andrew
