Have you been struggling to relax and unwind, feeling stressed, tired, lack time and energy? Well chill out with these 62 tips.
While our lives are becoming increasingly complicated it’s becoming harder to find time for ourselves. We need to get back to basics and make finding time a priority and to try at least one thing a day to reduce stress levels and just be happier.
A Sydney University study has shown that the cost of stress to the Australian taxpayer is around $300,000 a day while a 2006 survey by the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows we only have 20% of our time as "Free time".
Well it’s time to change the status quo! Try one or all these tips and get some time back in your life:
1.Create a piece of art
2. Go for a walk through the local park
3.Listen to relaxing music
4.Read a great book, be it an old favourite or something new
5.Find a high point in your area and admire the view
6.Walk along the beach at the water’s edge
7.Unclutter your home or work desk
8.Go and see some comedy
9.Exercise before heading to work and energise yourself for the day and your life
10.Call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a long time
11.Ring your mum and dad and say how much you love them
12.Book in one weekend a month for “me” time, no social commitments or domestic stuff
13.Start a new hobby
14.Say hello and smile to five people every day
15.Think positive thoughts
16.If you have a pet, spend more quality time with them
17.Eat plenty of fruit during the day
18.Go crazy, put some funky music on and dance around the house
19.Sing in the shower (make sure it’s not a long ballad as water is precious)
