The Australian Breastfeeding Association extends an invitation to individual mothers and mothers groups, playgroups and other mothering networks to come together to celebrate motherhood during National Mothering Week 2007 in Melbourne
Why Mother’s Play?
Most women today are mothering in the fast lane – family, work, home and community are all part of a finely balanced juggling act, with little room for error.
And usually no room for Self.
At the Australian Breastfeeding Association, we listen to women: more than 250 000 calls are made to our Helpline each year. A common thread is the lack of time in hectic lives, and the first *option* to fall off the list is rest and relaxation for the person devoting every minute of the day to the needs of others.
We all know the need for exercise, time out, relaxation, personal growth and fun – but how and when, exactly?
That’s where Mother’s Play! comes in. A one day, one place opportunity to take time out, be pampered, relaxed and motivated. Come and try, come and see, come and consider ….. a whole range of activities to tempt you.
