This year the Festival will run for 6 days (Tuesday 13 March to Sunday 18 March 2007) culminating in a one-day event along the Barwon River foreshore in Barwon Heads.

The aims of the Festival are to:

Promote awareness, understanding and appreciation of our coastal environment through the provision of:
Environmentally focused activities.
Information stands and performances.
Fun activities with sea / coast / environment theme.
 
Celebrate and showcase the activities of our local music, performance and visual artists.
 
Provide opportunities for local businesses, associations, clubs and organisations by:
Offering local groups the opportunity to fundraise and showcase their activities.
Maintaining local community and business involvement as much as is possible.

The bringing together of local arts, music and performances on the Sunday will emphasize the diverse cultural and artistic talent that exists in our region as well as opening up opportunities for greater participation by local artists. We anticipate this change will better contribute to the building and promotion of an art and cultural identify for the local region.
