MIFF has enjoyed a period of rapid expansion over the past ten years, growing its audience size by 230% since 1996.
MIFF has a rich history celebrating 56 years in 2007, which makes it one of the oldest film festivals in the world.
In addition to screening films from around fifty countries, MIFF is Australia's largest showcase of new Australian cinema and most vocal champion of both emerging and established local filmmaking talent.

In 2006 MIFF delivered more than $7 milion into the local economy.

The best way to see the 2008 Festival is to become a MIFF Member. The brand new program ensures MIFF Members receive generous ticket discounts and easier access to the Festival's screening venues. This year will see the introduction of an exclusive members' price across all ticket categories - from single tickets to passports - so it actually pays to be a member!

Passport

This pass provides admission to all screenings, with the exception of the official Opening and Closing Night films. It's valid at all venues, apart from the Cameo Cinema, during the Festival, but be quick as only a limited number of passes are available. Buy Pass

Mini Pass

This pass provides admission to any 10 sessions, with the exception of the official Opening and Closing Night films, plus three bonus week day sessions (before 6pm). It's valid at all venues, apart from the Cameo Cinema, during the Festival. Buy Pass


Opening Night Tickets

This ticket provides admission to the Opening Night Film, screening at Melbourne's iconic Hamer Hall, and the official after party. Please note: Opening Night is a reserved seating event. Buy Ticket


Closing Night Tickets
